In the Wilderness
The Anglican Episcopal House of Studies at Duke Divinity School will host its second annual Clergy Study Day for Anglican/Episcopal clergy on March 11 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Goodson Chapel.
Dr. Ellen F. Davis, Amos Ragan Kearns Distinguished Professor of Bible and Practical Theology at the Divinity School, will speak on “In the Wilderness ─ Prophets and Prophetic Ministry: Biblical and Contemporary Perspectives” during this day-long intensive study.
An Old Testament specialist and Episcopal lay preacher, Davis will explore understandings and practices of prophecy in the Old and New Testaments, with a specific focus on prophecy in the modern church, by leading plenary sessions and discussions.
The registration fee is $65. It includes lunch, parking, and all study materials. The registration deadline is March 7. Duke Divinity School faculty and staff may attend for free but need to register.
