Curriculum

Unite the two so long disjoined,
   Knowledge and vital piety:
Learning and Holiness combined,
And all truth and love, let all men see

— Hymn composed for the opening of Kingswood’s School by John Wesley.

The curriculum of Duke Divinity School contains all the courses mandated by the Book of Discipline for ordination as a deacon or an elder in full connection in the United Methodist Church. Since the Divinity School is an official seminary of the United Methodist Church, it is the school as a whole rather than Methodist House that assures the curricular offerings.
