Leadership Education at Duke Divinity
Organizational Leaders
Leaders of denominational offices, seminaries, church-related colleges and other institutions need to be skilled in basic leadership and management practices and must also place all of their work under the light of God's abundant presence in and for the world.
Denominational Leadership: Transitioning into an Executive Role equips denominational staff members who have previously served congregations with tools and strategies to navigate the complexities and changing landscape of institutional leadership. A version of this program designed specifically for United Methodist district superintendents is also available.
Study Leave for Ministry Professionals is for Christian institutional leaders and pastors of all traditions who want to spend a week immersed in learning and renewal through self-directed study, worship and prayer on the Duke University campus.
The Sustaining Pastoral Excellence coordination program supports numerous projects around the country that nourish ministers and ministries throughout the American religious landscape by facilitating conversation and learning among these projects.
