Exercise and Bible Study: A New Way to Multi-Task
Tue, 07/06/2010 - 3:22pm
The Evangelical Lutheran Church of America produces a monthly clergy health newsletter, Healthy Leaders. In this month's issue, Pastor Beth Birkholtz describes the 10-week running group/Bible study that she formed in her church and the exhilaration she felt at seeing the group progress from walking to finishing a 5K race.
She writes, "We called it the "New Year’s Resolution Bible Study" because it fulfilled several of those things that we usually resolve to do each year: exercise more, pray more, read the Bible more."
If you're interested in starting a similar group, Birkholtz posts suggestions to help make the experience a positive one.
