Hermitage Roanoke is seeking a part-time chaplain (15 hours/week) to provide pastoral care to residents, their families and team members. The chaplain provides for the spiritual and religious needs of our residents while building rapport through pastoral visitation. He or she plans and leads regularly scheduled religious activities, including monthly communion, vesper services, devotions and caregiver support as needed. The chaplain may be called upon by family members to arrange and preside over memorial services. The ideal candidate for this position has a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree and is licensed or ordained and in good standing of a recognized Christian denomination. Training in Christian education and pastoral care, and two years of pastoral care experience, preferably with a senior adult population is preferred. The ideal candidate must have a clean driving record, pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug test.
