The Duke Divinity School Alumni Council will host Alumni Day featuring numerous events, including celebrating the school's Opening Convocation, a welcome from the dean, and lectures by three faculty members.
The lectures will be: "The Theology of Reconciliation" by Dr. Edgardo Colón-Emeric, assistant professor of Christian theology and director of the Center for Reconciliation; "Walking Together: A Conversation on the Church and Mental Health" by Dr. Warren Kinghorn, associate research professor of psychiatry and pastoral and moral theology; and "Preaching in the Novels of Marilynne Robinson" by Dr. Lauren Winner, associate professor of Christian spirituality.
In addition, Professor Kinghorn's lecture will include alumni responses from the Rev. Chris Brady, pastor of Wilson Temple United Methodist Church in Raleigh, N.C., and Dr. Toby Bonar, director of Pastoral Care and Counseling at Alliance Medical Ministry, also in Raleigh.
The cost will be $25 per person and $15 for young alumni, and it will include breakfast and lunch.
