The Duke Divinity School Alumni Council will host Alumni Day featuring numerious events including celebrating the school's Opening Convocation, an address on the state of the school from Dean Elaine A. Heath, an admissions report from Todd Maberry, senior director of Admissions, Recruitment, and Student Finance, and lectures by two faculty members.
The lectures will be "The Art of Teaching Scripture and Theology at Duke Divinity School" by Ellen Davis, Amos Ragan Kearns Professor of Bible and Practical Theology, and "Why a Duke Divinity Certificate in Prison Studies?" by Douglas Campbell, professor of New Testament. In addition, there will be an alumni response on "Launching A Prison Ministry in Your Local Church" by the Rev. Willis Logan, D'14, rector at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Fincastle, Va.
The cost will be $25 each and $15 for young alumni, and will include breakfast and lunch.
