The purpose of the conference is to bring awareness and practical suggestions for ministering to those with mental illness and their families. It will provide participants with a greater understanding of mental illness, its impact on consumers and their family members, as well as teach attendees how to develop spiritual resources within the faith community.

The keynote speaker will be Harold Koenig, MD, professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at Duke University Medical Center.
