New Creation Arts Group

New Creation Arts Group (NCAG) is made up of all kinds of artists, painters, singers, dancers, textile artists, woodworkers, storytellers, poets, instrumentalists, art lovers, and more. During the 2010–2011 academic year they presented a rotating exhibit of student art, a mural with the Black Seminarians Union, a concert series, social events including “crafternoons,” and the third annual Juried Arts Exhibit titled, “Places of Redemption.”

“Lines in the Sand,” by Eric Prenshaw D’11Sarah Howell D’12, one of the student leaders of NCAG, said, “Art is not optional but a necessary component of engaging in worship and theology. That is not to say that someone must be artistic in order to be faithful; it simply means that art and beauty—precisely because they are excessive and wasteful by utilitarian standards—are some of the most important expressions of the love and grace of God.”
