Sacred Worth, a student group at Duke Divinity School, and the Episcopal Campus Ministry invites the Duke community to share dinner and a discussion about "Love Free or Die," a documentary about Bishop Gene Robinson, the first openly gay person to become a bishop in the Episcopal Church.

Duke Divinity School will hold a farewell event open to students, faculty, and staff for Todd Maberry, director of academic formation and programs. He will be leaving Nov. 30 to become a minister at Downtown Resurrection, a church in the urban center of Kansas City, Mo.

The Students Thinking Theologically about Reconciliation (STAR) student group at Duke Divinity School will hold a public meeting to explore what reconciliation means for ministers and for Christians, and how to become a part of God's reconciling work in the world.

The Divinity School Women's Center will sponsor a brown-bag lunch group discussion, "Why Women's Issues are Every Pastor's Issues." Chuck Campbell, professor of homiletics at the school, will lead an open dialogue about pastoral responsibility and women's issues.

The North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church will host a brown-bag lunch discussion for students from North Carolina and others interested in the conference's candidacy process.

The Rev. Laura Fine Ledford, associate director of Ministerial Relations in the conference, will lead the discussion, which will be especially beneficial for students who have not yet started the candidacy process or who are in the early stages.

The Black Seminarians Union, a student organization at Duke Divinity School will sponsor a theological discussion about political issues affecting the 2012 presidential election titled "Crossroads: The Intersection of Christian Ethics and Politics," featuring Stanley Hauerwas, professor of theological ethics at the school.
