The Divinity School Faculty Band and folk singer Lisa Deaton will perform at an event, "Hallelujah: The Poetry and Music of Leonard Cohen," featuring a lecture by Shalom Goldman, professor of religious studies and Middle Eastern studies with the Duke University Department of Religion.

Goldman will offer insights about the Cohen's life and work.

Duke Divinity School faculty band members performing at this event will include Dean Richard B. Hays, and Professors Joel Marcus, Kate Bowler, and Thea Portier-Young, in addition to folk singer Lisa Deaton.

The Center for Jewish Studies and the Divinity School are co-sponsoring the event.
