The Theology, Medicine, and Culture Initiative at Duke Divinity School will co-sponsor a public panel discussion on “Bioethics in the Abrahamic Traditions.”

The panelists will be: Aasim Padela, director of the Initiative on Islam and Medicine and assistant professor of medicine at the University of Chicago; Laurie Zoloth, professor of religious studies and professor of bioethics and medical humanities at Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University; and Stanley Hauerwas, Gilbert T. Rowe Professor Emeritus of Divinity and Law at Duke University.

Moderating the discussion will be: Farr Curlin, the Josiah C. Trent Professor of Medical Humanities who holds joint appointments in the Duke University School of Medicine, including its Trent Center for Bioethics, Humanities & History of Medicine, and in Duke Divinity School, including its Initiative on Theology, Medicine, and Culture.
