The Office of Black Church Studies at Duke Divinity School will sponsor the 2014 Martin Luther King Jr. Lecture Series featuring guest lecturer Randal Jelks, associate professor of American Studies with a joint appointment in African and African American Studies at the University of Kansas.

Dr. Jelks will be the guest preacher at the Divinity School worship service on April 1st and 2nd in Goodson Chapel from 11:25 to 12:20 p.m and will be the guest lecturer on April 1st at 5:00pm in 0014 Westbrook.

The lecture series exposes Divinity School students, faculty, staff, and alumni as well as local preachers and their congregations to preachers whose ministry has had an impact on the civic sphere, or to scholars whose work has been instrumental in changing the nature of ministry in the church and in the larger world.
