Duke Divinity School will host the 2013 Convocation & Pastors' School, an intensive two-day conference that offers lectures, worship, and seminars for Christian leaders of all traditions. This annual event is a colloboration with the North Carolina and Western North Carolina conferences of the United Methodist Church. The convocation also includes alumni gatherings.

Speakers at this year's conference will include: James K.A. Smith, professor of philosophy at Calvin College and senior fellow of The Colossian Forum on Faith, Science and Culture; Jorge Acevedo, lead pastor at Grace Church, a multi-site United Methodist congregation in Southwest Florida; and Laceye Warner, executive vice dean, associate professor of the practice of evangelism and Methodist studies, and Royce and Jane Reynolds teaching fellow at Duke Divinity School.
