Duke Divinity School will hold a public lecture, "The Child in the Temple: Luke 2:41-52 and Children's Religious Life in the Roman Empire" by New Testament faculty candidate Sharon Betsworth, director of the Wimberly School of Religion and associate professor of New Testament, Replogle Endowed Chair, at Oklahoma City University.

The lecture will examine a perspective often missing from discussions about this Biblical passage: the role of children in Roman and Greek religious life in the Roman Empire.
