Duke Divinity School will hold a public lecture, "Translating for Jesus: Philip and Andrew in John 12:20-22" by New Testament faculty candidate Clayton Croy, professor of New Testament at Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus, Ohio.

The lecture will focus on biblical verses John12:20-22 in which apostles Philip and Andrew broker a meeting between Jesus and the Greeks visiting Jerusalem for a festival. Some evidence suggests that these two disciples may a have been functioning as translators as well as intermediaries.
