Duke Initiatives in Theology and the Arts at Duke Divinity School will present "Theology and the Arts: Conversations and Film with Randall Wallace,” T’71, an acclaimed screenwriter, director, producer, and songwriter. He will share film clips, as well as discuss faith and storytelling at the free public discussion.
Wallace came to prominence by writing the screenplay for the 1995 film Braveheart, which earned him an Oscar nomination for Best Original Screenplay and a Writers Guild of America award for Best Screenplay Adapted Directly for the Screen. His other films include The Man in the Iron Mask, Pearl Harbor, We Were Soldiers, and Secretariat.
The Duke alumnus, who also studied for a year in the M.Div. program at the Divinity School, has served as a member of the Divinity School Board of Visitors.
