The Women's Center at Duke Divinity School and a team of experts from the fields of pastoral care and counseling, and mental health will hold a free workshop on "Addressing Substance Abuse as the Church."

Alcoholism and other substance addictions affect women, men, and children. This workshop will examine: how ministers should respond to congregants who struggle with substance addictions; how communities of faith promote, enhance, and support recovery for people with addiction as well as their families and friends; and how gender affects addiction and recovery.

A light breakfast and pizza lunch will be provided.
