Come experience a day in the life of our community to help discern whether Duke Divinity School is the best fit for your theological education and preparation for ministry. We offer several options for visiting our school, including group and individual visits. To sign up for a summer appointment, please complete this visit form

Summer Appointment
Take a guided tour of the Divinity School buildings and meet with a member of the admissions staff. Summer appointments are held daily at 10:00 am and 2:00 pm.


Duke Discernment Days
Discernment Days are for those who are considering seminary for the first time (Master’s programs) and want to learn more about Duke Divinity School. The full day visit includes a presentation by admissions staff, attendance in a class, community worship, panel discussions, opportunities to meet with faculty and students, and lunch. Our fall schedule will be posted this summer.

Admitted Students Day
Admitted Students Day is an opportunity for applicants who are offered admission to Duke Divinity School to visit our community before making their final decision. 

We look forward to welcoming you to Durham, a vibrant city located in the heart of the Research Triangle Area (along with Raleigh and Chapel Hill). Situated in central North Carolina between the mountains and beaches, Durham offers the best of city living within close proximity to suburban and rural areas. The city of Durham is home to an eclectic mix of restaurants, historical and cultural places, professional sports and recreational activities, and a thriving center for the arts. The diverse settings make it an excellent area for ministry and engagement in the community.

On the Road

Duke Divinity School admissions representatives travel to meet with prospective students at graduate school and seminary fairs, joint recruitment sessions, college campus, and denominational events across the country.
