Pay Your Deposit
To hold your place in the incoming class, you will need to submit a non-refundable deposit fee of $100 as soon as possible. Receipt of this fee is necessary to secure your place in the 2015 entering class and will be credited toward fees due in the first semester of enrollment. Admits will be notified of scholarship aid with 2-3 weeks of your admission decision. We ask that you notify us of your decision within 15 days of receiving your institutional financial aid package. If you need more time to consider your federal aid package as well, just let us know.

Funding Your Education

Scholarships (institutional aid)
All students admitted to the M.Div., M.T.S., M.A.C.P., M.A.C.S., D.Min., and Th.D. qualify for a scholarship. Your insitutional aid package will be available a few weeks after your admission offer to Duke Divinity School.
M.Div. Field Education
In addition to scholarships, students fund their education through employment through the work-study program, federal loans, denominational support, or field education. M.Div. students are required to complete two field education placements, where you can earn between $7,600 - $9,000 per experience (students can complete up to 3 paid placements during their program) Field education serves as a form of financial aid for M.Div. students that can help to defray the costs of your education.
To be considered for grants and work-study opportunities, you will be required to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Federal aid cannot be processsed until after the end of January 2015.
A certified candidate for ordained ministry in the United Methodist Church attending Duke Divinity School may also be eligible for Ministerial Education Fund support. Contact the Ministerial Education Fund Coordinator of the Board of Ordained Ministry in your Annual Conference for application and award requirements.
